Op 31 oktober vind in de Heineken Music Hall het eerste Amsterdam Reggae festival plaats. Vandaag bellen we rond half 2 op met de organisatie van dit festival en draaien veel muziek van artiesten die vanavond optreden.

Labour of Love The Originals part 1

Deze week in de reggae radioshow Bos' Best aandacht voor de originals van de UB40 albums Labour of Love deel 1 tot met 3. Je hoort onder andere Tony Tribe met Red Red Wine, Eric Donaldson met Cherry oh Baby en Bob Marley met Keep on Moving. Ook hoor je Ken Boothe met Crying over you. UB40 coverde al regelmatig songs van deze reggae legende.

23 november 2009 komt de nieuwste verzamelaar van UB40 verschenen: Best of Labour of Love met daarop 2 nieuwe tracks: Bring it on home, het origineel kennen we van Sam Cooke, en I don't want to see you cry dat origineel wederom van Ken Booth is.

Binnenkort zal ook het studioalbum labour of love 4 verschijnen, de eerste plaat zonder Ali Campbell, die van mening was dat hij meer geld kon verdienen als solo-artiest. Eind jaren 90 verscheen op zijn KUFF label het album Today's Specials, van de bekende eighties skaband The Specials. Op dit album vol covers stond ook al versie van deze geweldige reggaehit.
